New Approach’s son Loxley recorded his second Stakes win of the year on Monday, 2 November with a convincing victory in the Listed Floodlit Stakes at Kempton.
Settled at the rear of the field under William Buick, Loxley travelled smoothly throughout and once asked to quicken, picked up impressively to take the lead and eventually won the 12-furlong contest by two lengths.
This was his fourth career Stakes win, following success in this year’s G2 Dubai City Of Gold at Meydan, plus wins in the G2 Grand Prix de Deauville and the Listed Prix Nureyev.
Loxley is out of the Champion three-year-old and G1 Prix de l’Opera winner Lady Marian, who is currently in foal to New Approaach’s Derby winner Masar.
New Approach is also sire this year of G1 Futurity Trophy winner Mac Swiney, plus fellow Group winners Magic Lily and Telecaster.
