New Approach’s European-bred son Cascadian struck for the second time at G1 level on Saturday, 16 April when taking the All Aged Stakes at Randwick. Handling the heavy ground with ease he was not hard pressed to win the 1400m contest by one length.
A Godolphin homebred, Cascadian is out of the Street Cry mare Falls Of Lora, who has produced four winners including last season’s G1-winning juvenile Albahr (by Dubawi). Falls Of Lora, who also has a yearling filly by Too Darn Hot and a colt foal by Night Of Thunder, is a half-sister to this week’s G3 Earl Of Sefton hero Master Of The Seas (also by Dubawi).
New Approach has sired 37 Group winners including Derby hero Masar, who is standing this season at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £14,000.
