Beautiful Romance takes her first Stakes race by over four lengths
Three-year-old New Approach filly Beautiful Romance has always been highly regarded, finishing second in a Group contest on just her second start and on 29 August she gained a well-deserved first Black type win with a wide-margin victory in the Listed August Stakes at Windsor.
Always in touch under Harry Bentley, the Saeed bin Suroor-trained filly joined the leaders two furlongs from home and once asked to quick entering the final furlong, soon moved clear and ran on superbly to win the 11-and-a-half-furlong contest by four and a half lengths.
Beautiful Romance is out of the Group-winning Cape Cross mare Mazuna, who has a yearling colt by Sepoy.
New Approach, sire of four G1 winners to date, is also sire this year of G2-winning juvenile Herald The Dawn (a full brother to the outstanding multiple G1 winner Dawn Approach), plus fellow Group winners Ceisteach and Elliptique.
