Teofilo hits an impressive milestone on Friday, 1 October, siring his 100th Individual Stakes winner when his three-year-old son Scope landed the Listed Noel Murless Stakes at Ascot.
The Ralph Beckett-trained colt remained midfield while Chalk Stream led by ten lengths, but when put under pressure going into the home straight Scope flew home to win impressively by seven and a half lengths in the hands of Rob Hornby.
Bred by Lawn Stud and owned by Mr J H Richmond-Watson. Scope is out of the Efisio mare Look So, who is half-sister to G1 Oaks winner Look Here, both of which were also trained by Ralph Beckett. She has produced two other Listed winners in Regardez and Glance.
21 of Teofilo’s 100 Individual Stakes winners have scored at the highest level. They include Subjectivist, who put up the performance of the meeting at this year’s Royal Ascot when landing the Gold Cup by five lengths.
