New Approach’s four-year-old son Hey Gaman returned to the winners enclose on Saturday, 27 April when landing the Listed King Richard III Stakes. Run over Leicester’s straight seven furlongs, he made all the running to record a two-and-a-half length triumph.
A Stakes-winning juvenile, Hey Gaman failed to win in his Classic season although he ran with credit on numerous occasions including a close second in the G1 Poule d’Essai des Poulains.
Hey Gaman is a son of the Dubawi mare Arsaadi, who was placed three times at Stakes level.
New Approach’s exceptional 2015 crop also includes four Group winners, all of whom remain in training the season. The highlight was Derby hero Masar, along with improving G2 winners Ostilio and Loxley. He is standing this season at a fee of £30,000 Oct 1, SLF.
