Hey Gaman took the lead at the start and held off the late challenge of Red Mist to win the Listed Denford Stakes at Newbury August 19.
With the victory, the two-year-old son of New Approach improved his record to three wins and one second-place finish in six career starts.
Bred in Great Britain by Rabbah Bloodstock Limited, Hey Gaman is out of Arsaadi, a multiple Graded Stakes-placed daughter of Dubawi, and hails from the immediate family of The Tatling, winner of the G2 King’s Stand Stakes.
New Approach is the sire of 2017 Stakes winners Strathspey (G2 Prix de Malleret), Beautiful Romance (G3 Nad al Sheba Trophy), Nearly Caught (Listed Coral Marathon), and G1 performers New Predator and Pygmy.
