New Approach’s daughter Magic Lily continued her impressive 2020 when winning the G2 Balanchine at Meydan. Coming into the race on the back of a G2 victory in the Cape Verdi, she was always travelling comfortably in the nine-furlong contest and recorded a one-and-a-quarter-length victory over Nisreen (Raven’s Pass) and Maamora (Dubawi).
Magic Lily has now won half of her six career starts with a further G1-placing as a juvenile in the Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket.
Boasting an impeccable pedigree, Magic Lily is a full-sister to Stakes winner Jalmoud and a daughter of Dancing Rain (Danehill Dancer), winner of the Oaks at Epsom in 2011.
New Approach has sired 33 individual Group winners and he standing this season at a fee £30,000, alongside his Derby-winning son Masar, who will be covering his first book of mares at £15,000 Oct 1, SLF.
