It takes an exceptional stallion to have more than one juvenile appear in the top 10 of the International juvenile rankings, with Too Darn Hot becoming the first freshman for more than 15 years to achieve this notable feat in 2023.
Other stallions to register multiple runners in the top 10 in the last decade include elite European sires Dubawi, Wootton Bassett, No Nay Never, Kingman, Galileo, Lope de Vega, and Shamardal.
Only Too Darn Hot and the US-based Justify had both a colt and filly in this year's list, and you have to go back to 2021 to find a stallion with more, Too Darn Hot’s own sire Dubawi.
The star of Too Darn Hot’s first crop was Fallen Angel, winner of the G1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh in a four-race campaign, and she was given a rating of 116. Early reports indicate she has wintered well and will be heading straight to the Classics.

His leading colt was Alyanaabi (rated 114), who cemented his position with a thrilling victory in the G3 Somerville Tattersall Stakes before a second in the G1 Dewhurst Stakes behind City Of Troy.

Too Darn Hot’s first crop also had strength in depth. Just outside the top 10 was Darnation, who won a brace of Group contests including the G2 May Hill Stakes at Doncaster, while he has plenty of highly promising maiden winners heading on potential Classic campaigns, including Bauhinia, Formal Display, Race The Wind and Point Sur.
