Too Darn Hot sired another new winner on Saturday, 22 July when his son Jakajaro recorded a smart win at the Curragh, Ireland, scoring by four-and-three quarter lengths. This followed on from Carolina Reaper’s four and a half length victory at Newmarket earlier in the afternoon.
The juvenile colt, who is owned by MRC International and trained by David Marnane, travelled strongly in the centre of the track, he challenged the long-time leader inside the final two furlongs and was pushed out to a four-and-three quarter length victory in the six furlong nursery race.
Jakajaro is out of the unraced mare Summer Flower (Oasis Dream), herself a half-sister to Khawlah who is the dam of Darley first season sire Masar.
Too Darn Hot, himself a Champion at two, has so far sired six individual winners from his first crop, they include Son, Race The Wind, Alyanaabi and Fallen Angel.
