First-season sire Night Of Thunder added a new winner to his record on Tuesday, 25 June, when his daughter Bredenbury ran out the three-and-a-half length winner of the six-furlong novice at Brighton.
The David Simcock-trained filly was sent straight to the front under jockey Stevie Donohoe and was in command throughout, needing only hands and heels encouragement to move clear of her rivals and win cosily.
Bredenbury is the seventh winner from seven foals to race out of the Elusive Quality mare Areyaam, also dam of Listed winner Go Angellica. They are from the family of G1 winner Germany.
Night Of Thunder was himself unbeaten at two, before going on to win the best renewal of the 2,000 Guineas in 40 years at three. He then returned at four with victory in the G1 Lockinge.
