Rumbled Again produced the best performance of her career at Caulfield on Saturday, 30 November when the daughter of Night Of Thunder won the G3 Summoned Stakes over 1,600m.
Trapped off the track after drawing wide, Rumbled Again defied a torrid run on the heavy surface before taking the lead on the point of the home turn.
With jockey Craig Williams riding hard, Rumbled Again held off So Glamorous to win by three-quarters of a length with Electric Impulse a neck away in third place.
Runner-up in the G2 Sunline Stakes at The Valley in March, Rumbled Again notched her first Black-Type victory and took her record to seven wins and 10 placings from 36 starts for prize money totalling $518,600.
Bred by Mrs M. Condon in Victoria out of the Australian mare Adulate, Rumbled Again is trained at Cranbourne by Michael Trotter.
The seven-year-old was the second Black-Type winner in November for Night Of Thunder, after Estrange (out of Alienate) triumphed in the Listed Gillies Stakes over 2,050m at Doncaster in England three weeks earlier.
G1 winners Highfield Princess, Economics, Kukeracha, Desert Flower and Thundering Nights are among the dual G1-winning stallion’s 59 Stakes-race winners of 99 Black-Type events.
