Second straight Stakes win for son of Authorized
Consistent two-year-old colt Castello Aragonese (Authorized) increased his tally of Stakes wins to two when landing the Listed Premio Criterium Partenopeo in Naples.
Winning the seven-and-a-half-furlong contest by a length and a half, he has now improved his record to three wins and a second place from just four starts.
Castello Aragonese won impressively on his debut on 10 May, and was victorious in the Listed Premio Giuseppe de Montel (also over seven and a half furlongs) at San Siro on 1 July.
Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock, the colt is out of the winning King's Best mare Bronwen, herself a half-sister to G1 winner Teggiano.
His win capped a successful weekend for Authorized, whose three-year-old son Zamdy Man romped home by four lengths at Newmarket on Friday evening, while HRH Princess Haya’s Ambivalent was third in the Listed Aphrodite Stakes at the same course on Saturday. Also on Saturday, three-year-old colt Guarantee notched his second win in impressive style, winning by three-and-three-quarter lengths at Ripon.
