First-season sire Pinatubo continued his excellent run of form as his daughter Pearl Of Windsor earned a second career success with victory under a penalty in the five-furlong novice at Chepstow, this was quickly followed by a clear-cut victory for Leyhaimur in the six-furlong nursery at Goodwood on Tuesday 3 September.
Settled just off the pace, Pearl Of Windsor travelled strongly throughout the race and was produced to lead two furlongs out. She battled on gamely to get the better of Blue Point filly Spherical - in the end prevailing by a short head.
Close call!

Bred by Bearstone Stud, Pearl Of Windsor was a 160,000gns purchase from Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale. Out of the Dubawi mare Dubai Affair, she is a half-sister to dual Stakes winner Raasel, who was a winner of the G3 Coral Charge as a juvenile.
The Rabbah Bloodstock bred Leyhaimur is the fourth foal out of G3 Fred Darling winner Dabyah, who was also placed in the G1 Prix Marcel-Boussac on just her third start.
Pinatubo has now sired the winner of 15 races, among them are a number of exciting juveniles including Andesite, who could line up in Saturday’s G3 Sirenia Stakes at Kempton. G2 Vintage Stakes second Wolf Of Badenoch has a number of big race entries including the G1 National Stakes and G1 Dewhurst Stakes.
