Lacy strikes again in Germany
Lacy, Authorized’s consistent four-year-old filly, doesn’t know how to run a bad race and on her seasonal debut she won her third career Stakes race in the Listed Preis des Gestut Rottgen, run over a mile at Hoppegarten. Unraced as a juvenile, she quickly developed into a top-class performer in 2014 winning the G3 Baden Racing Stutenpreis and the Listed BMW-Preis, before signing off the season with a nose defeat in the G1 Premio Lydia Tesio in Italy. Making her first start of 2015, and giving weight to all her rivals, she was held up at the back early before making stealthy progress into the straight and only having to be nudged out to the line for a very cosy victory.
Owned and bred by Gestut Fahrhof, Lacy if the first winner bred by the Oasis Dream mare La Vinchina, a half-sister to German Derby winner Lavirco and from the family of German Horse of the Year Lomitas.
Lacy becomes Authorized’s third Stakes winner of 2015 after the G1 BMW winner Hartnell and the New Zealand G2-scorer Maygrove. Authorized stands at Haras du Logis in France at a fee of €10,000 Oct 1st, SLF.
