First-season sire Dubawi recorded his twelfth individual winner on 3 August, when Seeking Dubai took the six-furlong fillies’ maiden at Windsor.
Settled just off the pace under Ryan Moore, Seeking Dubai took the lead inside the final furlong and despite being challenged by her paternal half-sister Zubova close to home, ran on well to win by a length and a half.
Bred by M E Wates and now owned by Nabil Mourad, Seeking Dubai is out of the unraced Kris mare Placement, who is also dam of dual Listed winner Presto Vento.
Dubawi is also sire of Godolphin’s Group-placed winner Sand Vixen; in addition to Curtains and Dubai Story – both of whom have been allocated a rating of 90 by Timeform. Just last Friday, Dubai sired his eleventh individual winner when Poet’s Voice won by an astounding ten lengths over seven furlongs at Newmarket.
