Dubawi’s ultra-consistent son Dilawar landed a fourth victory in Stakes company with a commanding performance in the Listed GP du Bassin D’Arcachon over ten furlongs at La Teste de Buch on Saturday, 22 March.
Held up in rear throughout, Dilawar produced a great turn of foot in the home straight to come from last to first and win going away by half a length.

Bred by His Highness The Aga Khan’s Studs, Dilawar is out of G1 Dubai Sheema Classic winner Dolniya, making him a half-brother to the G2-placed Dolayli.
Dubawi is the sire of 60 individual G1 winners, and a further 131 Group winners. He enjoyed yet another brilliant year in 2024 with Oaks winner Ezeliya, and Notable Speech, who gave him a fourth winner of the 2,000 Guineas, more than any other since the start of the Pattern.
He has established an outstanding legacy through his 15 stallions at stud in Europe, including Ghaiyyath, Modern Games, Naval Crown, Night Of Thunder, Space Blues and Too Darn Hot, who all stand on the European Darley Roster.
First-season sire Space Blues made the perfect start to his stud career when his son Power Blue stormed away to win the first two-year-old race of the year at The Curragh in Ireland, in a quicker time and earning a higher rating than the two previous winners of the race Arizona Blaze and Bucanero Fuerte who both went on to be G1 juveniles.
