Dubawi’s son Time Test has been a model of consistency, never finishing out of the first four in all his racecourse appearances and winning on three occasions including in what was doubtless the most eye-catching performance of this year’s Royal Ascot when he took the G3 Tercentenary Stakes. On 25 September, he added a fourth win – and his best yet – to his CV as he took the G2 Joel Stakes at Newmarket.
Time Test was settled in third under Ryan Moore and came with a brilliantly-timed run to take the lead inside the final furlong and win by a length.
His victory provided Dubawi with a Stakes double on the day at HQ, following Journey’s eight-length romp in the Listed Nayef Stakes earlier in the afternoon.
The Roger Charlton-trained colt is now likely to bid for G1 glory once again and holds entries in the QEII and the Champion Stakes – both due to take place at Ascot on 17 October.
Time Test is one of 27 individual Stakes winners for Dubawi so far this year, an outstanding group that includes an incredible ten G1 winners.
