In the final race on Day One of The Championships at Royal Randwick on 1 April, Authorized filly Waking Moment led home a Darley-sired trifecta in the G3 Adrian Knox Stakes with Perfect Rhyme (Poet’s Voice) and Fallacy (Commands) finishing second and third respectively.
Waking Moment travelled in midfield, before storming down the straight to find the post a nose ahead of tough contender Perfect Rhyme.
Bred by W J & P M Sexton, Waking Moment is out of winning mare Try This, who has now produced two winners from as many runners.
Waking Moment is one of 29 individual Stakes winners for her sire Authorized, who is also sire of G1 winners Hartnell, Ambivalent, Complacent and Seal Of Approval, plus this year's G2 Dubai City Of Gold winner Prize Money.
Authorized stands at Haras du Logis in Normandy at a fee of €10,000 October 1st SLF.
