Daksha continues purple patch for Authorized
Authorized enjoyed a superb weekend with impressive winners Battalion, Lacy and Swansirized, plus Stakes places for Danchai and We’ll Go Walking. His run of success continued into Monday in style when his four-year-old daughter Daksha landed the G3 Prix Allez France at Chantilly.
Settled off the early pace, the Waldemar Hickst-trained filly began her run as the field quickened for home and despite being short of racing room at times, responded brilliantly in the final stages and flew home to beat Entrée (Halling) by a neck.
Twice a winner at Listed level last year, Daksha reappeared with a creditable third in the Listed Oster Stutenpreis earlier this month. She has now won on four occasions.
She was bred by Gestut Hof Ittlingen and is the best runner to date out of the Rahy mare Dareen, herself a daughter of G1 Coronation Stakes winner Golden Opinion.
Authorized is now sire of six Black type performers so far this year including previous G1 winner Ambivalent, who put up a superb performance to finish third in the G1 Dubai Sheema Classic on Dubai World Cup night. He is also sire of fellow G1 winners Seal Of Approval and Complacent.
He stands at Haras du Logis at a fee of €10,000 October 1st Special Live Foal.
