Amalaura has enjoyed a tremendous 2022 and on Sunday, 6 November she won her third Stakes victory in the Listed Premio Buontalenta. Run over a mile in Rome, the three-year-old daughter of Raven’s Pass has now won six of her 10 career starts.
Bred by Az Agr Capannacce Di Teodora Giorgi, Amalaura is out of the Stakes-placed Sakhee’s Secret mare Rabiosa Fiore. She is the best performer out of a winning half-sister to Ibn Malik, himself a Stakes-winning son of Raven’s Pass.
Raven’s Pass is the sire of an impressive 8% Stakes winners to runners including G1 scorers Romantic Proposal, Matterhorn, Royal Marine and Tower Of London. He is also the broodmare sire of top-class performers Mishriff and Saffron Beach.
