Darley is pleased to announce the continuation of its support of racing and breeding in the three European countries where the Darley stallions currently reside: Britain, Ireland and France.
Together with the British Horseracing Authority, Darley is renewing its sponsorship of an increased number of 20 £40,000-£50,000 three-year-old and three-year-old + open maiden and novice races, once again run at a wide range of racecourses across the country.
The High Value Development programme is designed to offer enhanced prize money to horses at the beginning of their careers and fulfil longer-term objectives of supporting the domestic breeding industry and ensuring more quality young horses who are bred in Britain are retained to race here.
In Ireland, the focus remains on Black Type races for fillies and mares, with G3 races at Cork and Fairyhouse and Listed races at the Curragh, Gowran Park and Navan being supported in 2024.
Four Stakes races in France will be Darley sponsored this year, including the G3 Prix Chloe at Chantilly and the G3 Prix des Réservoirs at Deauville.
Sam Bullard, Director of Stallions at Darley, said, “Following the success of last year’s race series and the many positive comments received, we are delighted to continue our sponsorship of these important races.
“Darley remains committed to supporting breeders through both race sponsorship and, in the UK, our contribution to the EBF, and we hope that these elements will continue to work together for the benefit of European racing.”
