Pinatubo looks to have another exciting horse on his hands in the form of Tipinso who ran out an easy winner of a Class 2 conditions race at Toulouse over 1600m on Wednesday 18, September. The colt was gaining a second career success after a promising debut fourth before getting of the mark at the second time of asking on his previous start at Vichy.
Settled towards the rear of the field, he made his move on the home turn and cruised into contention down the straight, needing only hands and heels to win comfortably by two lengths. The exciting colt retains entries in both the G1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud and G1 Criterium International.
Bred by Haras de Montaigu and Ecurie Haras du Cadran, Tipinso is a son of the unraced Makfi mare Makeba, herself a half-sister to multiple G1-placed Morgan le Faye, and a daughter of G1 scorer Molly Malone.
Pinatubo is enjoying a strong second half to the season with 13 individual winners on the board including three Stakes performers. He could add to this in the near future with Lady Luzon, Pearl Of Windsor and Andesite all entered in Stakes races this weekend.
