Lightly-raced Dawn Approach colt Dawn Passage showed plenty of class when recording an impressive victory in Saturday’s G3 Hawkesbury Guineas at Rosehill, Australia.
Already one of 11 Stakes winners for Dawn Approach, Dawn Passage unleashed a powerful run from 300m out to race away to a three-length victory over St Covet’s Spirit and Icebath.
This was his second victory at Stakes level, having also landed the Listed Rosebud Handicap at Rosehill last August.
Dawn Passage is one of seven foals - and seven winners - to race out of the Devaraja mare Raja Lane.
Dawn Approach, also sire of four G1 performers, stands at Kildangan Stud in Ireland at a fee of €10,000, Oct 1, SLF.
