New Stakes winner for Shamardal

Clairvoyance becomes the 22nd Black type winner for her sire this year

Shamardal's outstanding year continued on 22 November when his first-crop daughter Clairvoyance ran out the convincing winner of the Listed Prix Contessina at Fontainbleu to become her sire’s 22nd individual Stakes winner in 2010.

Always prominent, the Henri-Alex Pantall-trained filly took up the running two furlongs from home and ran on impressively to win by two lengths.

Bred by Old Carhue Stud and now running in the colours of Sheikh Mohammed, Clairvoyance is out of the G3-placed mare Crystal View. This was her third victory of the year.

Shamardal is also sire this year of dual Classic winner Lope de Vega, plus fellow G1 winners Casamento, Captain Sonador and Faint Perfume.
