Four-year-old Sommerabend became the 17th Group winner for his sire Shamardal and second of the weekend when landing the G2 Grosse Europa-Meile in Munich on Sunday.
The colt's victory followed on from a placed finish in the G3 Prix du Pin at Longchamp a fortnight earlier and a win in the Listed Grand Prix d'Anjou Bretagne in July.
Sommerabend, who was bred by Gestut Schlenderhan and is out of Sommernacht, by Monsun, has now won six of his 11 starts. He is a half-brother to the G3 winner Sommertag and Listed winner Sinnerman, both of whom are by Tiger Hill.
On Saturday, Shamardal's Group One-winning juvenile Casamento returned to the winner's enclosure following victory in the G3 Prix du Prince d'Orange in France, while another Godolphin runner, French Navy, won the G3 Select Stakes at Goodwood last weekend.
