The first reported foal by outstanding miler Modern Games was born at Kildangan Stud on Tuesday, 14 January.
The chesnut colt is out of the Raven's Pass mare White Mountain, herself a half-sister to dual Champion and four-time G1 winner Ribchester. She is closely related to another top-flight winner in Matterhorn (also by Raven's Pass).
Jimmy Hyland, Kildangan's Stud Director said, "We are very pleased with the Modern Games colt foal ex White Mountain.
"He is a typical Dubawi physical – compact and deep girthed with plenty of strength & substance. His limbs are in the right place and overall he is a solid individual."
Modern Games was well supported during his first season and has a quality first book. They include 50 Stakes winners or producers, including G1 winner La Pelosa and the dams of Journey (Montare, a G1 winner herself) and Tiger Tanaka. He also covered 20 siblings to G1 winners including sisters to Ghaiyyath, Emily Upjohn, Beauty Parlour, Ribchester, Jack Hobbs, Zambezi Sun, Cross Counter, and Eldar Eldarov.
