Night Of Thunder has had an excellent June with his Classic crop and he added a new Stakes winner on Saturday, 29 June through his daughter Bright Thunder. Trained by Karl Burke, the English raider won the 1600m contest despite pulling hard in the early stages.
The lightly raced filly was unraced as a juvenile and has now won two of her three starts, with her only defeat coming at York when fourth in a Listed contest.
Bred by Ennistown Stud, Bright Thunder is second foal of the Iffraaj mare Purplest, whose first was Harry Angel’s Listed winner Iconic Moment.
Night Of Thunder is having an excellent season with his three-year-old crop siring 47 winners, including 10 in the past week. His three Group winners have come in three countries; Economics, the brilliant winner of the G2 Dante at York, Dynamic Pricing winning a G2 at Churchill Downs, and Romantic Style landing a G3 at Deauville.
