Kerdos, a three-year-old son of Profitable, won his first Stakes race on Saturday, 2 September when taking the Listed Beverley Bullet. Run over five furlongs on the Yorkshire track, he tracked the leaders early, and despite short of room he managed to find daylight just in time to win going away by half-a-length.
A progressive sprinter, Kerdos has now won three of his nine starts for trainer Clive Cox, who also trained his sire Profitable.
Bred by Kcs Bloodstock and a 100,000gns yearling, Kerdos is the first foal of the winning juvenile The Mums (Holy Roman Emperor), and from the family of Exceed And Excel’s G2-winning sprinter Priceless.
Profitable has now sired six Stakes winners at six furlongs or less including G2 Queen Mary heroine Quick Suzy, and Group winners Mitbaahy and Miramar.
