Blue Point reached his 25th winner on Thursday, 10 August when his first-crop daughter Raqiya easily broke her maiden on her second career start. Moving straight to the front in the six furlong contest, she wasn’t hard pressed to beat her paternal half-sister Miss Information.

Owned and bred by Shadwell Stud, Raqiya is the third winner bred out of the Dansili mare Rihaam, a relative of Champion miler Bahri.
Leading first-crop sire Blue Point has now sired 25 individual winners, three of whom are Stakes winners, including Big Evs, winner of the G3 Molecomb Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. He is likely to be supplemented for the G1 Nunthorpe Stakes later this month at York.
