New Stakes winner for Blue Point

Bosustow lands $3 million Magic Millions Guineas

Leading young sire Blue Point is making his presence felt in both the northern and southern hemispheres, and on Friday, 17 January he recorded his 15th individual Stakes winner when Bosustow took the valuable Magic Millions Guineas on the Gold Coast.

The three-year-old colt came with a storming run in the home straight, sweeping past his rivals and prevailed in a thrilling finish to win by a head from previous Group winner Give Me Space. Bosustow has been placed at Black Type level on four previous occasions, including when third in the G1 JJ Atkins Stakes.

Bosustow was bred by Amelia Park Racing & Breeding Pty Ltd WA and is out of the Stakes-placed Canford Cliffs mare Bumbasina, making him a half-brother to G1 winner Amelia’s Jewel.

Blue Point has enjoyed exceptional success since retiring to stud, siring triple G1 winner Rosallion and top-rated G1-winning sprinters Big Evs and Kind Of Blue.

His 2024 yearlings sold for up to €850,000.
