First-season sire Too Darn Hot opened his winner’s account in style on Friday 26 May when his daughter Fallen Angel made a successful racecourse debut at Haydock.
Settled off the pace during the early stage of the seven-furlong contest, Karl Burke’s charge was asked to quicken at the two-furlong marker and picked up very impressively to win by a length and three quarters from the promising-looking Masar filly Lady Of Leisure.
Fallen Angel was bred by Branton Court Stud and is out of juvenile G2 winner and G1 Fillies Mile second Agnes Stewart. The mare is already the dam of a Black Type performer in Divine Jewel.
Too Darn Hot was a Champion at both two and three and is the fastest horse in the Classic family of Darshaan.
