Harry Time became the latest first-crop winner for his sire Harry Angel when taking a maiden contest at Navan on Saturday, 14 May.
The two-year-old colt travelled smoothly, making headway two furlongs out, drawing clear to win comfortably by one and a quarter lengths. Trainer Michael O’Callaghan later indicated a trip to Royal Ascot for the G2 Coventry Stakes could be on the cards for the winning debutant.
Purchased at the Tattersalls Craven breeze-up sale, Harry Time was bred by Yeomanstown Stud and is out of the Stakes-winning Starspangledbanner mare Silver Rainbow. She is out of a Linamix half-sister to G1 performer Sentiero Italia, dam of G1 winners Santin and Ashkal Way.
A smart juvenile, Harry Angel broke his maiden in the G2 Mill Reef and later went on to claim victories in the G1 July Cup and G1 Sprint Cup at Haydock. The Champion sprinter got off the mark as a sire earlier this week with Vicious Harry striking impressively at Chantilly.
