European Champion miler Ribchester sired two new winners on Friday, 13 August.
First to strike was the Karl Burke-trained Snooze n You Lose, who impressed on her second start at Nottingham. Bred by Laundry Cottage Stud Farm and out of the Noverre mare Wake Up Call, she was always traveling comfortably and was not extended to win by a length.
Just over an hour later at Wolverhampton, Oh Great registered his first win in a handicap run over an extended mile. Trained by Roger Varian and bred by Kildaragh Stud, the victory was not without incident, and after suffering interference in the run, was awarded the race in the Stewards Room.
Ribchester now has sired nine winners including three that have been awarded TDN Rising Star status. They include recent Deauville debutant filly Shaikha, who impressed when winning easily in a very quick time.
