Bosh, a first-crop son of Profitable, got off the mark at the second time of asking with a gritty performance at York on Saturday, 12 June.
Narrowly beaten on debut just two weeks previously, the two-year-old colt demonstrated a determined attitude despite being carried left by the eventual second, battling on strongly to win by a nose.
Bred by Denis McDonnell and purchased for 62,000gns at the Tattersalls Book 2 yearling sale, Bosh is the fourth foal out of a winning Marju half-sister to G3 Weld Park Stakes winner Ellthea. They are out of G2 Royal Whip Stakes victrix Tropical Lady (Sri Pekan), herself a half-sister to G3 Princess Elizabeth Stakes winner and G2 Dahlia Stakes second Wilamina.
King’s Stand winner Profitable is now the sire of seven individual first-crop winners including G3 Fillies’ Sprint second Quick Suzy and the unbeaten Thunder Love.
