Rougir was already one of no fewer than seven Black Type performers for her first-season sire Territories, having finished third in the G1 Prix Marcel Boussac earlier this month. On Tuesday, 20 October, she added a well-deserved first Stakes win to her record in the G3 Prix des Reservoirs in France.
Settled off the early pace under Mickael Barzalona, Rougir looked to have plenty to do once entering the final two furlongs but picked up beautifully close to home to assert herself approaching the line and win by a neck.
This was the third career victory for Rougir, who won on her racecourse debut back in June, before following up with a second win just three weeks later.
Rougir is out of the Stakes-placed Elusive City mare Summer Moon and sold for €55,000 as a yearling in 2019.
Territories was also G1-placed at two, taking second in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere. He went on to place in the British 2,000 Guineas, before landing the G1 Prix Jean Prat.
Only last Sunday, he was responsible for Fulgentia, who won the Listed Premio Ubaldo Pandolfi.
