Outstrip, whose first crop have just turned three, sired his first Group winner on Saturday, 8 March when Outburst didn’t see a rival in the G3 Florida Oaks. Sent straight to the front by jockey Javier Castellano, she skipped clear on the home bend before holding off the late challenge of G1 juvenile Walk In Marrakesh.
Outburst won on her second and final start when trained as a juvenile in France by Francois Rohaut, and since transferring to the stable of Eddie Kenneally in the US, she is unbeaten in two starts in 2020.
Bred by Rainer Stockli & Manfred Wurtenberger, Outburst is out of the unraced Shamardal mare Daidoo and a half-sister to two winners.
Outstrip, who is covering this season at a fee of £5,000, Oct 1, SLF, becomes the only European first-crop sire to have a Group winner in 2020. He sired an impressive 22 individual juvenile winners with his first runners in 2019, which included the Listed National Stakes winner Flippa The Strippa and German Stakes-filly La La Land.
