Brazen Beau put himself to the fore with a Stakes double on one of the biggest days in Australian racing.
The two-year-old colt Ideas Man got things off to a brilliant start with a debut victory in the Listed Inglis Banner with an electric turn of foot.
Ideas Man became the fourth Stakes winner for his sire who struck again a few races later with Sartorial Splendor in the G3 Australia Stakes.
A $575,000 purchase at the 2019 Inglis Premier sale, Ideas Man displayed perfect racing manners and an irresistible turn of foot to score by a half-length from Bella Nipotina with another Brazen Beau, Arctic Ice in third place.
Ideas Man is out of the seven-time Stakes winner Innovation Girl who has also built a fine record as a broodmare with seven of her eight foals to race having won.
Sartorial Splendor took up the running from the jump in his 1,200m event and had his rivals off the bit at the 200m where he produced another effort to race away from the placegetters Condo’s Express and Three Beans.
Both Ideas Man and Sartorial Splendor are out of Rubiton mares, the latter being from the Stakes winner Personal Ensign who has had seven winners from eight to race.
Brazen Beau stood the 2019 northern-hemisphere breeding season at Dalham Hall.
