Dubawi, the best stallion in the world, is now officially responsible for the two best colts in Europe in Too Darn Hot and Quorto, named the two highest-rated two-year-olds in Europe in 2018.
The Classifications, compiled by a panel of handicappers and released in London on Wednesday, 23 January, were headed by the John Gosden-trained Too Darn Hot (rated 126) clear of his generation by 5lb.
Too Darn Hot was unbeaten in four starts as a juvenile, including the G1 Darley Dewhurst Stakes, and carries the colours of his breeder Lord Lloyd-Webber. He will retire as a Darley stallion at the conclusion of his racing career and will stand at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket.
His rating is the equivalent of Frankel as a two-year-old in 2010 — that year Frankel was rated equal to Dream Ahead.
Fellow Dubawi colt, the Charlie Appleby-trained Quorto (rated 121), was clear second highest-rated following his victories in the G2 Superlative Stakes and the G1 National Stakes at the Curragh.
Dubawi is the only UK-based stallion ever to sire 100 individual Group winners, a milestone he reached last July He is sire of 38 G1 winners to date, including his stallion sons Night Of Thunder (whose first two-year-olds will hit the racecourse later this year) and Postponed, whose eagerly awaited first foals will be arriving soon.
