Iffraaj's outstanding son Gingernuts added a third victory at the highest level to his record on Saturday, 23 September when landing the G1 Windsor Park Plate, run over a mile at Hastings in New Zealand.
Gingernuts raced wide in a midfield position and with a furlong left to run, powered home to win by a head. This was his third G1 win, having taken the G1 Rosehill Guineas and the G1 NZ Derby during a superb three=year-old season.
Gingernuts was bred by Goodwood Stud and is the first Stakes winner out of the winning Generous mare Double Elle, who has produced five winners from as many runners. His connections have confirmed his lead-up race to the G1 Caulfield Cup will be in a fortnight's time in the G1 Livamol Classic over ten furlongs at Hastings on Saturday, 7 October.
He is one of eight G1 winners for Iffraaj, also sire this year of Godolphin’s star European miler Ribchester.
