Parish Hall records his fourth Stakes win
G1-winning juvenile Parish Hall has won a Black type race in each season he has raced and the son of Teofilo continued that fine record on 20 July when getting up late to land the G3 Meld Stakes at the Currag, just a day after his paternal half-brother Amralah took the Steventon Stakes at Newbury.
Parish Hall emulated his sire when winning the G1 Dewhurst at two, before returning at four to take the Listed Alleged Stakes after a long lay-off. He also won the G3 Diamond Stakes last October.
Jim Bolger’s homebred is out of the winning Montjeu mare Halla Siamsa, herself a half-sister to another of Teofilo’s leading performers in G2 winner and Irish Derby third Light Heavy.
Teofilo has now sired eight individual Stakes winners this year, plus a further ten horses who have been placed at Black type level. They include G1 winner Sonntag plus Oaks second Tarfasha. His Irish Derby winner Trading Leather was recently second to Shamardal’s Mukhadram in the G1 Eclipse.
