Voleuse de Coeurs takes the Irish St Leger
Teofilo sired his second Irish Classic winner of the season on Sunday September 15 when his four-year-old daughter Voleuse de Coeurs ran out the very easy six length winner of Irish St Leger, with Ahzeemah (Dubawi) finishing in second. She was a very progressive three-year-old, culminating in a ten-length Irish Cesarewitch victory over today's course and a Stakes winner earlier this season in the Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan.
Bred by the Irish National Stud and bought by Lady O'Reilly as a yearling for €30,000, she is out of the Grand Lodge mare Vadorga, a half-sister to French 2,000 Guineas hero Vahorimix, who is from the excellent family of G1-winners; Val Royal, Valixir, Vadawina and Valyra.
Voleuse de Coeurs becomes Teofilo's second G1-winner from his first crop after Parish Hall, who emulated his sire by winning the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket. He has also been enjoying an excellent year with his second crop (three-year-olds of 2013) with G1 victories for both Trading Leather (Irish Derby) and Havana Gold (Prix Jean Prat).
