Parish Hall returns to the track in style

Teofilo's son Parish Hall, who won the G1 Dewhurst Stakes at two, made a successful return to the racecourse on 7 April when landing the Irish Open Alleged Stakes at The Curragh.

Having missed his three-year-old season due to a serious hind leg infection, Jim Bolger’s homebred did not fail to impress despite his prolonged absence.

Held up during the early stages under Kevin Manning, Parish Hall was asked to quicken two furlongs from home and despite edging to his left in the closing stages, was always far too good for his rivals and won by a length and a half.

His trainer indicated after the race that he will now be aimed at the G3 Mooresbridge Stakes on 6 May, before stepping back up to G1 level in the Tattersalls Gold Cup, due to take place on 26 May.

Teofilo has made a great start to 2013, with three further Stakes winners to his name already including multiple G2 winner Amira’s Prince. Last year he added a second juvenile G1 winner when Loch Garman landed the Criterium International, while both Light Heavy and Roz also placed at the highest level.

Teofilo stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €35,000 October 1st SLF.
