Blue Point, Europe’s leading first-season sire added a 32nd individual winner to his tally on Friday 8 September when Miss Information dominated in the six-furlong novice at Ascot.
Making all under Oisin Murphy, the Andrew Balding-trained filly was never headed and kept to her task superbly during the closing stages to win by a length.
Miss Information was bred by Ballylinch Stud and is out of the G2-placed Stakes winner Newsletter (Sir Percy).
Also on Friday, fellow Blue Point filly Raqiya established her position as one to watch when posting an impressive win at Haydock. This was her second straight victory and a step up in class could now well be on the cards for the Shadwell homebred.
Blue Point has equalled the record for number of winners at this stage of his first season and has sired four Black type winners and a further two Black Type performers to date.
