Dubawi’s four-year-old daughter, Emily Dickinson, added a third Stakes win to her c.v. when landing the 14-furlong G2 Curragh Cup at the Curragh in Ireland on Saturday, 22 July.
The filly, who is trained by Aiden O’Brien, travelled nicely in mid-division throughout the race, she gradually made progress through the field in the home straight and took up the lead in the final furlong. Emily Dickinson went on to score by three lengths under a hands and heels ride by Ryan Moore.
Emily Dickinson signed off last season with a G3 win in the Loughbrown Stakes, she then made light work on her seasonal return to land the Listed Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan. On her last run she finished a creditable fourth in the G1 Gold Cup at Royal Ascot. Her next target may be the G1 Goodwood Cup.
Bred by the Chiquita Syndicate, Emily Dickinson is the third foal out of G1 Irish Oaks heroine Chicquita (Montjeu). She has also produced Group-placed fillies Nicest and Secret Thoughts.
