First-season sire Rio de la Plata added a new winner on 19 September when his daughter Thais took the one-mile maiden at Saint-Cloud.
Thais finished second on her racecourse debut at Deauville last month and had clearly learned from the experience as she kept to her task well to win by a neck from Normandie, with the pair a full six lengths clear of the third-placed horse.
Thais was bred by Mr & Mrs G Sandor and becomes the fourth winner from four foals to race out of the Stakes winner Tianshan, also dam of G3 winner Trixia.
Rio de la Plata was a Champion Juvenile in France, winning the G1 Prix Jean -Luc Lagardere and the G2 Vintage Stakes at Goodwood. He went on to win twice more at the highest level, landing the Premio Roma and Premio Vittorio di Capua.
