First-season sire Profitable sired his 24th winner on Sunday, 31 October when his daughter Miracle Drug landed a five-and-a-half-furlong maiden at Gulfstream, USA.
The Saffie Joseph-trained filly sprung out of the gates to take the lead, and keeping her front-running position throughout the race, the filly ran on clear of the field in the final furlong to win easily in the hands of Edgard Zayas.
Bred by Gerard and Anne Corry, Miracle Drug is out of the winning Tamayuz mare Miss Buckshot and is a half-sister to the Group-placed colt Dream Shot. She is from the family of G2 winner Miss Lucifer, dam of dual G1 winner Space Blues.
Profitable has also sired this year’s G2 Queen Mary Stakes heroine Quick Suzy, plus Listed winners Head Mistress and last month’s Silver Tankard Stakes winner Mr Professor.
