The Darley stallions dominated the Black Type races at Deauville on Tuesday, 9 April, with Night Of Thunder, Territories and Harry Angel sweeping the three Stakes races up for grabs.
Following Romantic Style's victory in the G3 Prix Imprudence, Lazzat, a three-year-old son of Territories, remained unbeaten when running out the easy winner of the G3 Prix Djebel. Going into the race with an unblemished record, including a Listed victory last time out at Cagnes-sur-Mer, he was never in trouble in the 1400m contest. Quick from the gates, he made all the running to beat Keran (Blue Point) by two and a half lengths, with five lengths back to the third.
Impressive!

Bred by Haras de Montfort Et Preaux, Lazzat is the first foal out of the winning Australia mare, Lastochka, whose dam, Lashyn, is the daughter of G1 1000 Guineas heroine, Sleepytime.
Territories has now sired seven Group performers from his impressive 2021 crop, including Group winner Master, the consistent Geologist, and the very promising Mister Sketch. Standing at a fee of £10,000 for 2024, Territories has also sired G1 winners in each of the previous two seasons through Rougir and Regional.
The final Stakes contest of the day was the Listed Prix Cor de Chasse, which was won in convincing style by Vicious Harry (Harry Angel).
Now four, Vicious Harry rounded off his three-year-old campaign with victory in the Listed Prix de Bonneval at Chantilly last October. He was bred by Medya Sarl & T Tekce and is out of Umneeyatee (Encosta de Lago), a half-sister to G1 winner Amanee.
Harry Angel, who stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £10,000 Oct 1, SLF, is also sire of last weekend's G3 Ballylinch Stud Stakes winner A Lilac Rolla, who may now head for the G1 Irish 1,000 Guineas.
