Slade Power sired a new winner on Wednesday, 27 June when his son Typhoon Ten made a winning introduction over six furlongs at Kempton Park. The Richard Hannon-trained colt was always travelling smoothly and when asked for his effort in the straight, he quickened to the front before holding off the late challenge of previous winner Sporting Chance near the line.
Owned and bred by Des Anderson, he is bred to be quick, being a son of the Stakes-winning sprinter Cake (Acclamation), who has already produced two Stakes-performing sprinters in Fig Roll and Tomily.
Slade Power has now sired four winners including impressive debutant York scorer Hesslewood, Godolphin’s Newmarket winner Strings Of Life and French winning colt Oh My Oh My.
