The 2019 Darley Series, for two-year-olds, reaches its pinnacle on Sunday, 18 August with the G1 Prix Morny, which is shaping up to be one of the juvenile races of the season so far.
No fewer than three Royal Ascot winners will line up at Deauville for the six-furlong contest, including Slade Power’s Queen Mary heroine Raffle Prize, last seen winning the G2 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket (pictured).
Also running is Norfolk Stakes winner A’Ali, who won the first leg of the Darley Series, the G2 Darley Prix Robert Papin. His breeders are therefore eligible for the increased prize of a nomination to a Darley stallion up to the value of €20,000 should he cross the line first on Sunday.
Godolphin’s smart Shamardal colt Earthlight is another leading contender, provided he gets his ground.
