Night Of Thunder’s four-year-old daughter, Royal Dress, who was having her first start in Stakes company, dug deep in a thrilling finish to prevail by a short head to land the Listed Conqueror Stakes at Goodwood on Saturday, 4 May.
Making her seasonal debut, Royal Dress who is trained by James Tate, was settled at the rear of the field for most of the race under Ben Coen, she made steady progress in the straight and made her challenge in the final two furlongs. Showing plenty courage she got her head in front in a tight three-way finish in the eight furlong contest.

Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock Ltd, Royal Dress is one of three winners out of the Dynaformer mare, Wadaa, herself a daughter of G3 Nell Gwyn Stakes heroine, Cloud Castle.
Royal Dress became the fourth Stakes winner for Night Of Thunder so far this year, following on from Dynamic Pricing who won her first graded race when getting up late to land the G2 Edgewood Stakes at Churchill Downs last night. He is also responsible for G3-winner Romantic Style and Listed heroine, Thunder Roll.
